These CAMPO-productions go on tour in April

Mount Average

Welcome to Mount Average. In this installative performance, theatre-maker Julian Hetzel takes the audience on a factory visit that confronts them with their own ideologies. The clash between the static past and the fluid present creates a productive friction in this industrial setting that creates quite a stir. This month in Brussels and Deinze.

Lullaby for Scavengers

A fox, a maggot and a (singing) dead squirrel are Nobles' companions in his quest for friendship and acceptance. As gripping as it is unsettling: a performance about big feelings, wishes and dreams, fear and loneliness, and humour. In April it continues its tour of 19 evenings at London's Soho Theatre, before also passing through Antwerp at the end of this month. 

Out of the Blue 
Silke Huysmans & Hannes Dereere / CAMPO

After their successful performances Mining Stories and Pleasant Island, Silke Huysmans and Hannes Dereere are making the final part of their trilogy about mining. This time, they delve deeper into a completely new industry: deep-sea mining. As resources on land are increasingly being exhausted, mining companies are turning their sights to the ocean.  They will travel from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, and from Brussels to Leuven in April. 

Ambient Theatre Fury

An abundance of connection, but a lack of dialogue, which is where ever-increasing digitalisation seems to be driving us. We see the other primarily as a possible reflection and confirmation of ourselves. Using diverse text material, often digital 'readymades' or templates, Anna Franziska Jäger and Nathan Ooms in Ambient Theatre Fury seek the extremes of dialogue, from endless mirror to possibility of contradiction. This month, the performance plays in Mechelen. 

All Inclusive

In All Inclusive, Julian Hetzel questions the aestheticisation of violence and the explosive power of images of war. Starting from the principle of 'creation through destruction', he imported several kilos of war debris from Syria. He transformed the debris into art in Europe. Julian & team will play in Aarschot in April.

L.I.A.R.
Frankie / CAMPO

The members of Frankie have rebranded themselves. They no longer show themselves as a brash 'rattle band' but take a more sophisticated approach, unlike Laguna Beach. In a self-assembled laboratory - L.I.A.R. - they search for answers like a bunch of serious scientists. This month in Brussels!
