In Wellness, the controversial duo Florentina Holzinger and Vincent Riebeek will break their usual duet format and work with other artists on stage, under the motto, 'if you want to travel fast, travel alone, if you want to travel far, travel together.'
Together with Renée Copraij (who danced with Jan Fabre for many years), Christian Bakalov (who’s worked with Jérôme Bel, Ivo Dimchev & Miet Warlop) and Andrius Mulokas (performed with Fernando Belfiore), they want to open up their way of working, and feel the need to search for a greater unison and unity. All of this in a piece that explores what it is to challenge oneself. Where wellbeing coexists with being the best you can be.
The performers set out their own wellness goals. These may be are purely physical and aesthetic - with militaristic cross fit sessions for perfect tense muscles in all the right places - but also holistic - philosophical - with far-reaching psychotherapy and meditation sessions. Their ultimate goal ? A perfect symbiosis between a healthy body and a healthy mind. They strive for nothing less than their own version of Miss or Mister Universe.
