Lieselot Siddiki (1994, she/her) has developed a versatile practice that combines various art disciplines. After studying fashion and autonomous design, she began the master's program in drama at KASK Ghent, which she might one day complete.

Siddiki's work is more visceral than cerebral; immersive, gargantuan worlds where the gut speaks before the mind. She prefers to create living collages, composed of hundreds of references that orbit a specific (political) theme. These worlds are infused with an ecstatic, mischievous energy, shaped by her hedonistic upbringing in the anarchist squat scene. This background instilled in her a preference for brutality and raw explicitness, resulting in loud, dynamic performances. At the same time, this wild expression is interwoven with bold design and precise text treatment, leading to an uncanny marriage of chaos and order.

In 2021, Lieselot created with Jarne Van Loon the graduation performance Nachtzwemmen at VIERNULVIER, an absurdist ode to the night in which 13 performers succumbed to the allure of intoxication. This production was presented at GIF-festival, Fringe Festival Amsterdam (2022) and Electropark in Genoa (2022).

With the artist collective ZUIDPARK, she created the themepark performance The Importance of Being Flemish (2021) and in 2023, she created De Abrikozenboom/Kayısı Ağacı together with theater company Klüb Kilim as part of the Eigen Kweek initiative.

In collaboration with Nona Demey Gallagher, she made the successful production Up Your Ass in 2023, based on Valerie Solanas’ infamous 1965 comedy. The production was selected for Radical Jung 2024 (Munich) and Het Theaterfestival 2024, where they won the Actors’ Guild Award for best ensemble performance.

As a performer, she appeared in Pinokkio by Jonas Baeke (2022), Ten Oorlog III by Camping Sunset (2021), Nightshift at Sea by Gouvernement (2022), Mallrats in collaboration with Micha Goldberg and Voorjaarsontwaken by Wolf Wolf. In 2024, Siddiki won the Fintro Audience Award in support of young artists.

In-house, Lieselot contributed as creator/performer to the CAMPO celebration A Shot at Love and the GIF closing party Countdown, a CAMPO and VIERNULVIER co-production with DJ brothers Stephen and David Dewaele.
